FINAL SCIP/NAUI CROSSOVER COURSE

The second and final SCIP/NAUI Crossover Course was held in Houston on December 8, 9 and 10. Certifying NAUI officials were Larry Cushman and Bill Schroeder.

The heated pool at Scuba, Inc., made the water work very comfortable in wet suits. However, the sleet and snow that fell -on the brave instructors as they climbed the 40-ft. tank were ignored. The tank exercises were substituted for the scheduled open-water teaching experience.

The four standard NAUI ICC exams were included in the program. SCIP Instructors also gave two classroom lectures. The NAUI staff at this course matched the number of candidates present.

The eleven SCIP Instructors certified are A.E. Blood, Bill Bresett, Lynn Bresett, Judy Crouch, Hub Dungan, Nyle Everitt, Bill Faber, Elbert Jackson, Paul Oberle, Jim Syling and Richard Wilkins.
