February 6 , 1964 Club Founding Date -First Meeting Attendance estimates for first meeting ranged from 15 to 50 persons. BEGINNING CLUB NAME WAS : UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS SKIN AND SCUBA DIVING SOCIETY -(UTS&SDS) Club Was First Registered As An Official Student Organization On 2-5-1964. See - http://bit.ly/2bq3DiD First club dive was held April 10,1964 at Volente on Lake Travis. By May 14, 1964 the first Constitution was accepted by the members. Dive courses were begun at first under the leadership of Lee Trice.
